This lot of 71 Matt Christopher sports books feature stories of young athletes overcoming challenges and achieving their dreams in a variety of sports including ice hockey, soccer, baseball, football, basketball, etc. Nonfiction books by Matt Christopher are included, as well. The books are published by Little, Brown Book Group, and are intended for young adult readers ages 9-12. That does not mean that younger kids, older kids, and adults cannot read them. These books are perfect for anybody who loves sports or a good story. The collection covers a range of sports genres and topics, from fiction narratives to informative guides, making it a perfect addition to any young sports fan's bookshelf. Each book will provide hours of entertainment and inspiration. The books are all rated in good to very good condition. Some look brand new (and might very well be). Others are definitely used, to varying degrees. For the most part, the books show normal scuffing/wear consistent with their age and use. There are several with tanning on the insides of the front and/or back covers. At worst, a little piece of cover might be ripped/torn off or the binding feels loose. The majority have some combination of scratches and/or wrinkles and/or bent-cornered pages. Some page folds (as if used for a bookmark), etc. also do exist. One has coffee-like page stains. On the other hand, a spectrum of treasures has been left. A healthy number have names/inscriptions written in the front cover. One (BASEBALL PALS) even has a picture and inscription from a signing by Stephanie True Peters back in 2007 (author of GROUNDBREAKING GUYS and A PRINCESS PRIMER). A couple copies have children's sketches or drawings on the blank pages at front and/or back, some in marker and others in pencil. Basically, all normal issues, harmless markings, and none of it in any way detracts from the cover art, legibility, readability, or sturdiness of the book. These books have been read. That's it. No more. They have not been abused. Proudly, they've been used for their intended purpose. Honestly, there's a lot more reading to be done. Luckily, the books are ready and rearing for more young readers (or readers of any age) to grab them up. Great opportunity to own the whole lot!
