Originally purchased new in 1993 this Yamaha G2 5'8" baby grand is identical to the current C2X but for some minor differences in the exterior design. In 1993 Yamaha redesigned the G and series to combine them into one model. Therefore the G1, G2 and G3 were redesigned to the current C1 and C2. They didn't change the name from G1 to C1 and G2 to C2 until the following year. Very minor differences that make the piano a better instrument such as an extra brace in the iron plate, hexagon bolts instead of wood screws which make it much easier to service, copper color plate instead of gold and soft close keyboard cover. As with all our pianos over 15 years old this piano will arrive with a brand new set of strings, tuning pins, pin bushings, stringing felts and a full restoration to NEW standards. Our pianos are not just cleaned up and sent out they undergo full buffing and polishing of ALL surfaces while the piano is disassembled.
