Description: Beautiful plaid! Perfect for Xmas caroling/parties, holiday season Dickens' theater, Victorian sleigh rides, Highland games, Ren Faires, or Civil War reenactments. For consideration is a beautiful handmade, 4-piece outfit of a Victorian/Dickens' style capelet, long skirt, sash/neck scarf, & waist ribbon belt. The skirt is flexible in sizing & is adjustable from a small to plus sizes. The capelet, sash/scarf, & skirt are made of a medium-weight, woven flannel/brushed cotton. The plaid is woven, not stamped & is a lovely shade of blue w/ red, white, black, & gold. The scarf can be worn as a sash for a Highlander look. The capelet is fully lined with a white cotton & the lining is top stitched by hand to make it easier to iron. The capelet is a seamless cut & has a 5.25" red frog at the neckline. Red lace adorns the hemline of the capelet & the back top center is decorated w/ a 6" gold tassel hanging from a fancy gold-toned & white button. The skirt has an elastic draw waist (3/4"-wide elastic) for tying off to your fit inside the back center seam. The waist band is top stitched for a nice finish to help keep the elastic from rolling. A generous sweep allows for wearing over hoops as well as crinolines. The hemline is just the selvage edge of the fabric with a very small fringe to it so it can be worn as is or hemmed. Skirt is shown over a hoop skirt in pics & the hoop is not included in this sale. Plaid is matched & aligned at the back seam. The back seam is pinked. Sash/neck scarf has natural fringed edges, 2 lengths joined at the center with the plaid matched. Also includes a red holiday ribbon waist sash long enough for a nice big bow in back. You can cut it off to the best length for your size. This is shown on a plus size body form. I am also listing some lovely tops & blouses in various sizes to consider wearing w/ my caroler/highlander outfits. If you choose to add a blouse to your outfit, it can be added into the same box & therefore is no additional shipping cost.
