The vast majority of Germans in World War II were Catholics. Like many funeral services today, a small card (usually baseball card size) were printed with a photo and brief history of the deceased. This custom has existed for several centuries and was very prevalent during the Second World War. This particular card was printed in remembrance of: Alois Moser Alois was a Private in a Panzer Infantry Regiment and was awarded the Panzer Assault Badge as well as the Black and Silver Wound Badges. The Panzer Badge is clearly seen in the studio portrait and is a great 'in wear example'. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us.
