Bernard Marray was born on the 4th of July 1908 in the town of Bradford’s in Yorkshire. His religious believes was Roman Catholic. Bernard’s appearance was described as being 5ft 9 inches, chest size 34 inches, grey eyes and brown hair. Bernard enlisted in York on the 5th of January 1938. His trade upon enlisting was with the police in the civil defence. His address before signing up was 17 Lang Avenue in York. Bernard Marray’s service number was T/63860, in which he served with the royal army service corps for a total of 4 years and 321 days. Over the years he serviced he was promoted to driver. Unfortunately Bernard was discharged due to being “Permanently unfit for any forms of military service”. During his service he was entitled to a 1939-45 star, a defence medal and a war medal (which are all present in this group”. This medal group includes;Army supplementary reservists identity book.
