Description: This large, attractive, uncommon piece of WW1, French military mail was sent through two, different army post offices on its way to the Viscount of Panouse, Military Attache to the French Ambassador to The U.K. in London! The mail originated on August 5, 1916, from the, "Tresor Et Postes 74," from a soldier, a, Pierret, serving with an artillery regiment. The mail was then sent through a larger French A.P.O., where the blue, 25-Centimes definitive(in excellent condition!) was affixed, and cancelled with a neat, "Poste Aux Armees F," CDS on August 7, 1916! While the envelope has been reduced some at the left, and there are a few tears in it due to how it was originally opened, this cover is fascinating piece of French and British, WW1 military history!
