This (along with others I have on auction) are from WW1, and were recovered from the Argonne Forest. Made of wood and steel, this handle is a VERY NICE example! It retains much of it's original shape and structure...and is VERY solid! Some marks, cracks, dirt, and corrosion...as one would expect being a dug relic. A PERFECT item for any collection or display!
