A few in-text drawings. First edition. Very good book in fair dust jacket. The German text is reproduced side by side (facing pages) with the English translation. Dark blue cloth covered boards with bronze-gilt stamped lettering on spine. Faint scuffs and scrapes on board panels. Spine and edges at head and tail of spine are lightly sunned. Lower edge at tail of spine is crimped. Scuffs along outermost edges of front and back board panel and fore-edge tips. External page edges are age-toned and lightly smudged. Several tiny specs on the lower edges, does not appear to be foxing. Offsetting to front paste down. FFEP has several penciled notes on the condition of the book and also shadow transfers. No marks or tears. Text block is sound. Green paper dust jacket with red lettering and graphic. Front and back jacket panels and spine are heavily sunned and stained with numerous fox-like spots. The front jacket panel is separated from the front spine fold; there is an additional closed vertical along the left edge of front panel, rubbing the length but with an old tape repair holding it on the reverse side. Back spine fold and both fore-edge folds have several rub-throughs and losses but are still somewhat attached. Price of 37s.6d.net in lower corner of inside front flap.
