Description: Nice Elora point that measures 2 1/8" long by 1 1/4" wide. This is a Middle to Late Archaic point dating in the 6,000 to 3,000 BP range. Made out of a nice stripped chert material I can't identify. Found along the Alabama River in Dallas County, Alabama. A well made narrow type example with nice serrations, barbs, and tip. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. This piece was found by Oliver Lewis, who was from Selma, Alabama. Almost everything Mr. Lewis found were from hunting plowed fields in his area. He hunted from 1962 to about 1989 and stopped due to health conditions. In early 1999, Dennis Bushey of Selma, Alabama bought Mr. Lewis' entire collection of 15,000 pieces. I purchased this point from Mr. Bushey in person at the 1999 Pigeon Forge Tenn show. It has resided in my collection since. All relics are 100% guaranteed Prehistoric Authentic unless stated otherwise. I offer a 30 day return policy on all items sold with no questions asked. I always combine shipping. I have been collecting relics for over thirty years and I am a current or former member of the following societies: Genuine Indian Relic Society (GIRS), Central States Archaeological Society (CSAS), Authentic Artifact Collectors Association (AACA), and Arrowpack. Provenance and prior ownership of each and every artifact is very important to me, and everything I own I have researched from the original finder - if known - right up to present time. All of this data will be included with every item I sell for all future generations.
