HERE WE HAVE: An original lobby card for the 1930 Metro Goldwyn Mayer "ALL TALKING PICTURE", "Redemption". Starring John Gilbert. The poster was for Schine's State theater in Sandusky, Ohio. It comes framed as shown; it's not a professional framing job for sure but it looks decent. The frame is sort of involved to get opened up to the poster, and I was worried about damaging the poster in the process so I stopped while I was ahead and didn't try taking it out. CONDITION: Acceptable condition for age. There's a large tear at the top near the middle and then small holes and tears scattered throughout, including on John's face. Discoloration and staining all around. All words are legible and even though it has yellowed with age, the colors and graphics on this poster are great! I left it in the frame to avoid damaging it any further, so the poster edges and corners on the bottom half are unexamined. The top half's corners and edges looked fine! The framing isn't professionally done and the poster could probably we better arranged inside of the current frame to look better! You can see the poster is a bit wavy beneath the plastic face, so maybe a thicker board in the back to secure it better and flatten it out? The poster is also a little crooked, so the backing is visible between the poster and the matting on the top right and bottom left corners. Will come as shown, so please see photos!
