Once the user attaches the adapter to a receiver, two marker related operating modes are enabled. The first mode, the Dedicated Marker Mode, enables the receiver screen to show a peak bar graph with signal strength from the marker, as well as the marker type and depth. The second mode, the Dual Marker Mode, gives the receiver the ability to show all of the dedicated marker mode screens, while also showing the standard utility locate screen including left/ right arrows and compass. In good conditions, the vLoc3-MLA will detect any one of nine marker types buried to a depth of 6 feet and large flat markers to 9 feet.
