Description: Beautiful Vintage Carved Fetish Necklace. There are 15 fetishes in all, including the large Horse at the bottom! They are all Copper Turquoise. They come from a mine that has a lot of the mineral Copper in it. So it has the beautiful Copper veining that runs through the Turquoise. Heishi and Turquoise beads are strung between all the fetishes. The fetishes are two sided, and can be moved to face either direction. This is one of only a few necklaces I’ve coming across where the big fetish at the bottom is a horse! So this piece is AWESOME!! 🐴❤️ This necklace measures approximately 29.5 inches long. The silver is 925 Sterling Silver. This Necklace is BIG and BEAUTIFUL! I looked over each fetish on the necklace, and I do not see anything broken. So it appears to be in great condition. Turquoise comes in shades of blue, green, and even white. Some pieces will be a solid color. While others will have matrix that range from white, brown, black, and even gold. Please allow for this naturally occurring color variations, and matrix, in some pieces. Turquoise is perhaps the oldest stone in man’s history, the talisman of kings, shamans, and warriors. It is a stone of protection. Strong and opaque, yet soothing to the touch, and healing to the eyes. As if carved from a Azure heaven and slipped to earth. A little about myself: I am part Shoshone, on my Dads side. I currently reside in Virginia. However, I moved here from New Mexico. I am influenced both by my love for the Shoshone people, as well as the Navajo, Hopi, and Zuni people that reside in New Mexico. I used to own a Native American trading post. As well as set up a jewelry and dream catcher booth at large festivals and events in my area. When Covid hit I decided it was time to start selling on different online platforms instead.
