Description: Vintage wooden spool of silk thread. Appears to be mostly full, I do not know for certain how much thread is on the spool. This is a red shade. There is some dust or discoloration on the outside band of thread- see photos, also includes a plastic thread holder in one end, which I removed for one of the photos The color may display differently on different monitors. Please allow for variations in how the color renders. Not tested for machine sewing. This is a true antique/vintage spool of thread, frequently used in hand sewing applications as well as fly fishing. I am not an expert, and have not tested it for strength, and cannot guarantee how it will perform should you wish to use it for something other than decorative use.
