Estate sale find, vintage original souvenir restaurant menu for The Town House Restaurant located at 2623 Ocean Avenue, Lakeside Village, San Francisco, California. Circa 1940's based on the "War Time Pledge" which explains the simple design and layout to conserve paper products. The building made its restaurant debut in 1942 during World War II, opening as the Townhouse Restaurant, according to Woody LaBounty of the Western Neighborhoods Project. The courtyard supposedly served as a victory garden. After Townhouse's owner William Kabeary passed away in 1975, the restaurant closed down and Harlow's New Orleans cuisine moved in followed by Villa D'este. The item measures approximately 6" x 9" (Folded), approximate shipping weight 3 ounces.
