Description: For sale is a vintage 1/144 scale McDonnell Douglas MD-80 in the vintage twin stripe livery of Trans World Airlines (TWA). The model carries markings on the belly indicating that it was customized by Pacific Miniatures of Alhambra, CA. The model is one-piece and has two brass pin inserts, one of which is affixed to the airplane and the other tends to stay on the pin of the stand - see pics. The airplane measures 11 inches in length and has a wingspan of 8 inches. The airplane carries the registration N901TW. Model has a number of chips to the decals on the left side, both on the cheatline and on the vertical stabilizer. Some scuffs are present on the belly. The right horizontal stabilizer is warped downward at the tip. The stand clearly once had a plaque on it which has been removed, as some adhesive residue still remains on the stand. Despite this, the model displays well from its right side. No breaks, repairs, or other damage of note. Please see all photos for details of item condition.
