Description: This vintage APOLLO 11 NASA photo measures 11 x 14 inches and depicts the Earthrise with the Lunar Module in the foreground.It is commonly referred to as ‘ THE LONELIEST MAN’ Photo referencing the fact the only human not represented in the photo is the one taking it, Michael Collins, the command module pilot. He stayed in orbit while Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin made the famous first steps on the moon. On the reverse of the photo is has the watermarks A KODAK Paper. These 11x14 Kodak photos are VERY SCARCE and can generally fetch thousands at auction and a few at the 5 figure range. The more common Kodak photos were on the 8x10 format and these 11x14 photos were commonly used for presentations at higher levels on the Kodak paper. Afterwards they were given away or just thrown away and due to the size didn’t hold up too well over the years…if at all. Hence the reason for the rarity of these vintage photos. You just don’t find many of these available but they do pop up for sale occasionally.
