Description: Vintage nautical ship's wheel desk or mantel clock with wood stand is a stunning piece of craftsmanship, adding to its charm. Heavy clock. The beveled glass door opens easily. Clock face has a few light scratches. No scratches on glass. It is marked "Made in Western Germany" on the back and "Made in Germany" on clock face. I do not know who the clock maker is. A universal key was used to wind. It is not locked but did not run when winding. The chime bell rang. I think it just needs a good cleaning and oiling. A few small spots of oxidation on brass outer, latch, rear and light scuffs to the wood stand. No chips or cracks. 6 sm felt pads. No key included. This clock is a true vintage original and a must-have for collectors of maritime antiques. Some maintenance on this clock and it would make a wonderful useful conversation or decor piece.
