Description: Up for sale is a vintage souvenir stein/mug of old Fremont Street, Las Vegas, Nevada. It is marked "Made in Japan" and is a very light weight ceramic piece. The brownish color tones and its light weight are typical of the early "inexpensive" tourist souvenirs sold in Vegas. It is undated but my feeling is that it is 1950-ish because of its look and the buildings depicted. The mug stands about 5 inches tall and is in very nice shape; it was displayed but not used. One side has the historic "Fabulous Las Vegas" slogan with the typical dice, coins, slot machine and roulette wheel. The other side depicts the Fremont Street downtown "Casino Center". The scene is looking down Fremont Street at about 4th Street. One can clearly recognize: the Hotel Fremont the Fremont Theater Sign the 4 Queens Hotel-Casino the Union Plaza Hotel at the end of the street the El Portal Theater Fun “old Vegas” souvenir display item.
