Description: From the Schmid Collectors Gallery, a pair of pristine glass balls dated 1985 and 1986 with art by Ferrandiz. Similar ornaments are offered elsewhere at up to $16 each. Juan Ferrandiz Castell (1918-1997) was born in Barcelona and became famous during his lifetime for his prolific work as artist, poet, illustrator, author of children’s books, designer of figurines and creator of Christmas cards, all symbolic with the messages of innocence, love, peace and harmony. In addition to Schmid, the Anri company also licensed his art. The images are “Hearts Delight” dated 1985 and “Away in a Manger” dated 1986. These ornaments and their packages are in from-the-factory condition having never been removed from the boxes. These ornaments have been kept in a climate-controlled environment. Sold here as a pair but the 1986 ball is available separately.
