Description: I am selling a handmade Dresden Plate quilt top made sometime in the 1930's. It needs to have a backing sewn onto the back, so it's unfinished. This pattern was popular in the 30's and the color green used on the leaves can be found on quilts from that era. The quilt top measures 66 inches wide and 86 inches long. There are 20 plates/blocks with green leaves in the corners. The off white fabric used is probably muslin and it feels like it has never been washed. It would undoubtedly brighten up after washing, but I would not wash it until after you've sewn a backing on it, because it feels a bit frail. I have not found any holes in the top. All the pieces have been hand sewn onto the muslin. I will ship for free using the US Postal Service.
