Description: British Pattern 1853Enfield Socket Bayonet Used Fair Cond This auction is for a British 1853 Socket Bayonet. Fair condition overall. Blade looks to run true. Some pitting. Has been cleaned at some point but has a nice grayish patina. Slight bend at rear of socket. No locking ring. No noticeable markings other than some illegible letters on the riccaso.No larger Imp stamping, it's possibly an import for the Civil W ar. Socket is 2 7/8" in length, boar is about .78"Finished blade is 17 1/4" with the bayonet being 20 5/8" in overall length. Please have a look at my other auctions. I do combine shipping.
