Vintage ANRI Couple Kissing Mechanical Carved Wood Bottle Stopper Made in Italy Click images to enlarge Description This ANRI bottle stopper was acquired at an estate auction in Western Illinois. It is appealing, desirable, & collectible. This charming couple mechanical carved bottle stopper captures a romantic moment. Positioned side by side, they elegantly lift and turn their heads to share a kiss when the lever is engaged, creating a delightful interactive experience. The Italian ANRI company made these bottle stoppers from 1912 until the mid 1960's. The stoppers were hand carved by people who lived in the Groeden Mountain area and for many years were made to resemble actual people they knew. Over time the stoppers lost their "individuality" and became more like caricatures. This item is offered in its original condition, reflecting its authentic state at the time of acquisition. We have refrained from any cleaning or restoration efforts, ensuring that the photos provided serve as a true representation of its current condition. The overall length is approximately 5" in the kissing position. This will make a fine addition to any home or collection. The photos are an important part of the description.
