Description: An original 1980s nylon-upper Nike running shoe, probably the Diablo model but please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about that. I can't find any proof of the model name on the Web, and the pictures I've found that look the closest to these shoes are Diablo ones. Here is one link and they're even in the same colors: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/99923685460170103/ This is my first pair of Nike shoes, which I got in or around 1982*, shortly after I finished college. I wasn't a runner then and had no idea I'd eventually run 20 marathons and about 50 half-marathons. I just wore them walking around. For some mysterious reason, I put them in a storage box when they wore out, rather than toss them, and I still have them. They have never been out of my possession. These shoes are not suitable for wearing at all. The soles are stiff and much of the hexagon waffle is worn down. They do still have the original laces, for what that's worth. (*I thought they were a few years older, but I've received information that they are probably from 1982 due to the printing inside the shoe.)
