Description: Did you ever read The Velveteen Rabbit? Remember how it came to life because it was loved so much by its owner? Well that's supposedly what once happened with this plush dachshund toy made by the Kamar company of Japan in 1967. After a little girl's pet dachshund died, her parents gave her this plush and she wished so hard it was her dog that it became possessed by the spirit of her beloved pet. I think he crossed the rainbow bridge when she passed away, but the soul searching eyes are still there. Approximately 12" long, in good shape except for some wear on the feet.
