This is a brown bakelite (early hard plastic) 1952 Geib (Gibson) case handle....half moon style in beautiful original condition!! Comes with brass plated (new) offset mounting hardware. May be correct for some early Fender cases (also Geib and others) between 1950 and 1955.handle is 4 and 3/8th inches measuring center of leg to center of leg. Comes unassembled.....the GOLD offset mounting plates can be turned (reversed) a number of different ways to follow the unique curves of a form-fit guitar case or drum case. You can follow different types of contours.The handle is excellent condition with only minor signs of handling...this one is really nice!! Very clean example. Comes with new-old-stock vintage gold-plated "OFFSET" hardware...which can fit a variety of hard-to-fit contours as found on guitar cases. Can be used on any application where you have difficult angles to work with.vintage gold hardware, offset typecomes unassembledplates can be bent slightly to follow curves....see last pic last pics show recent attachment using this hardware on a black handle to a 1964 Gibson 335 case...looks awesome!!!!! Any rivets ordered after the sale have a cost attached.The handle measures 4 and 3/8 inches from center of leg to center of leg. Great quality, and now with two ways to install:1. Use the hardware shown by mounting the two axles through the mounting plates, then install the completed handle using the 4 rivets...or... 2. Use your pre-existing case hardware and simply install the raw handle using the two axles. This keeps your case original. (Your original case hardware should be similar in appearance to that shown here, in order for the axles to fit correctly. These are "spinning" axles as oppose to being the non-spinning or "fixed' type).
