Description: I am usually more inclined to clothing from the midcentury (architechture as well)but this piece is so lovely I went a little outside my comfort zone. A perfect dressingor hostess gown, this is absolutely lovely. 13" enclosed original metal zipper on theleft side with 23 fabric buttons at front center bodice. There are 3 snaps to hold fronttogether, but the buttons do not undo all the way down. Two slight V shape zip zagfabric pieces for a fitted belting; the darting comes up straight from waist on either side.Double pointed collar and short sleeve cuffs. Slight shoulder padding. The fabric is juststunning; a mid weight Satin that I presume is Silk but cannot verify for sure. Dress isso beautiful and luxurious. Just fabulous. Yes, I have started back at work after 6 months off and a move. I chose to showcase thewall photos with my listings. From the 1958 film, "The Young Lions," directed by EdwardDmytryk and starring Marlon Brando. Taking place during World War 2, this is my motherwith Brando in a very small but cherished part.
