It reads, "PEAK COFFEE - FRESHLY ROASTED - SEE IT GROUND FOR YOU - CONTENTS ONE POUND...INDEPENDENT GROCER'S ALLIANCE DISTRIBUTING CO. - CHICAGO, ILLINOIS U.S.A." It measures 6 & 3/4 inches tall. The base is 4 & 1/4 inches wide. It does not have a date, but from the image of the man & woman on the can, I would "GUESS" this was made in the 1930's - give or take. The condition is GOOD. It has some general wear & tear, scratches & small paint rubs. There is a little rust on the lid, and the shiny surface luster is worn off the top.
