Description: Vintage 1913 Hardy S. Alnwick England Split Bamboo Fly Fishing Rod 10' 3PC. Rod is in very good vintage condition. Clean, complete, very well preserved. All brass hardware is in good condition. Original bottom cap. Wood/cork handle in fair condition. Straight 3 PC split bamboo shaft with two tips light and ultralight. This is a really nice heavy duty rod. Beautiful fishing time capsule. Individual sections approximately 40 1/4 and 39 for the tips, middle piece is 40 7/8, and the handle is 41. It is hard to read the writing on the rod I was able to see Palakona and Reg no. 246936, I tried to take pictures of this so you can see them as pics 10-12. The end is engraved with Patent Steel Centre, 76819A Hardy S. Alnwick England as seen in photos 13-15. 76819A is how I was able to date this rod. You can do a google search before buying if you so choose. I did not see anything wrong with this item. The poles are all in good condition. The wood/cork handle has chucks missing, and scratches, etc. Please see all of the photos and use the zoom in option for the best description of this item. Also please message me with any questions you may have before buying. This is a vintage used item. It appears to me to be in good condition. However I am no fishing expert of any kind. Rods appear to be in good condition. The wood/cork handle has missing chunks and scratches etc on it as you can see in the photos. Keep in mind this item is from 1913!!
