Description: The story in a nutshell- I was a custom motorcycle painter for 15 years with many 1st place awards (best paint in show). Towards the end of my painting journey, I made a few tanks for myself (trophies to display in my house). This Triumph Bobber gas tank is one of my favorites! It is flawless and beautiful! Although I tried to get the lighting right, the photos don’t do this paint justice. This is a must see in person and in the sunlight. Here are the details: Started with a fresh gas tank with only original Triumph factory paint (had minor dent-size of a quarter which was of course repaired) Color layer: 1. House of Kolor metallic base light gold2. House of Kolor pagan gold candy coat infused with oyster shell flake- small size. (This flake sparkles different colors and is not Huge flake, like from the 70’s, but enough to differentiate that this paint has more sparkle than standard metallic paints)3. Black pearl inlay 4. Variegated gold leaf striping 5. Triumph logo is airbrushed from a stencil mask so lines are perfect. 6. Several layers of inter-coat (between) clear coat and HOK final clear coat which was color sanded and polished. This tank is show quality paint work. Please verify fitment before purchasing. For the high end paint jobs that I did, the buyer, if out of state, would elect to ship it with UPS and add insurance. The only way they will insure the package is if they pack it themselves.
