Topcon Primoflex Automat Topcor f/3.5 7.5cm #146317 INTRODUCTION:Launched in 1956, the Primoflex Automat has a number of major improvements. Improvements include the fact that the lens mount is a Rollei standard # 1 bayonet mount, a baffle is attached to prevent internal reflection, and the film winding is done by crank which linked with the shutter charge (self cocking). Also to produce smoothness and flat film condition, the film will wind from top to bottom inside the film room. Due to the installation of Tokobright (a function equivalent to a frennel lens), the inside of the viewfinder is bright to the four corners, and the center of the focus class is circular frosted glass, making it easy to focus. Primoflex is a camera manufactured by Tokyo Kogaku and sold by Osawa Shokai under the Primo brand. At the request of the Ministry of the Army of Japan, Tokyo Optical is a manufacturer created by the surveying instrument division of Hattori Watch Shop Seikosha, which acquired the lens factory of Katsuma Optical. Primoflex is said to have sold predominantly in Japan in the 1950s. It seems that the lenses made by Tokyo Optical are popular. COSMETIC CONDITION:This camera cosmetically in excellent condition. There is a small scratches on the top of the viewfinder, and the paint on the nameplate has a slight touch-up. Other than that, there are no noticeable scratches. Please examine the listing photos for the overall cosmetic condition of the item. MECHANICAL: This cameras shutter fires in each speeds. The aperture closure moves smoothly but you need little effort to move the lever, no oil on either aperture or shutter blade. OPTICAL CONDITION:Lens is TOPCOR f/3.5 7.5cm. View and take lenses are very clear. No haze, no fog, no balsam separation, no fungus and no wipe. We actually loaded a film and tested it. Please check the image posted. IMPRESSION of USAGE: Method of usage is as follows. Insert the film and wind up the film till start mark of film reach to the red mark in the film room. Close the back lid and lock them, turn the winding crank till the film counter shows 1, and stops automatically. At the same time, the shutter charge has been done(self cockin). aperture lever and exposure adjustment lever locates each side of the take lens. Shutter release button in right down corner.
