He realized that there was an enormous demand for high quality vintage and antique furniture, so he shifted his business focus to carefully crafting solid wood reproductions of the traditional style furniture that was so popular. He stayed in business for 40 years before his time came to retire.The focus of Tom Steely Furniture’s earliest business was in recreations of traditional style furniture. This came to life in their beautiful solid cherry tables, dining chairs, and bedroom furniture. Chests of drawers feature delicate brass hardware but otherwise favor function over form. Dining chairs encapsulate the subtle, elegant civility that was so engrained in traditional furniture design. The rich cherry wood was hand rubbed with a finish that to this day shines through and enhances the natural beauty of the wood. These pieces will be at home in any traditionally styled home, but they also look striking paired against more modern designs.
