Most of the pages have a form of yellowing discoloration due to oxygen exposure. There is a break/ separation in the binding as shown. The inside front cover page has the original gift inscription from 1879. There is tissue paper over the illustrations for protection, there are some yellowing spots throughout the pages and small rip on the bottom of some of the tissue pages. The cloth cover is fraying and separated from the binding. There is some rough markings on the page along with some small fissure tearing throughout the pages of the book.
