A Reliable History of the British Rulers and Their Consorts in which Many Facts of Interest are for the First Time Recorded."Condition: Most of the flaws on this book are readily apparent on its covers. Staining or perhaps grime and fading have given the back and front deep purple covers a mottled effect and the spine is now light blue. Lettering on the front cover is faint to indistinct. As you would expect, there is noticeable wear on the corners, edges, and spine folds. The binding is wobbly--you can see the webbing on the front and back inside covers. However, there are no loose or missing pages, and the pages themselves are clean--no writing, markings, rips or folds. The only issue is foxing on the inside pages and grime on the outside. Given its age (100+ years), this book has survived in pretty good shape. I'm slowly starting to part with some of my history/biography (mostly royalty) of England, Russia and some European countries from the period 2nd half of the 19th century thru the Russian Revolution. I got more taken with the period, than with the book I thought I would write. Now that I am in down-sizing mode, a lot of these books must go. So, if this period (and it does cover a lot of ground) is of interest to you, please check back with me in the weeks (and probably months) to come.
