Description: Description (and please see photographs): "including His Lordships Suppressed Poems, with others never before published". 766 pages of very small type, 1/4 leather. With engraved frontispiece, and an autograph facsimile letter of Byron on 2 sheets dated April 27, 1819 in Venice, addressed to the publisher Galignani in he indicates that he is not the author of "the vampire", since it has been attributed to him by mistake. Inked name on title page of former owner - "D. Elliot McKirdy, 95th Reg't.", with ink stamp of his on front endpaper - "dieu et mon pays" (God and my Country), and "E. McK". I've found that he entered the military in 1833, was a colonel of the Welsh Regiment, died in Cannes France in 1894. Condition: See box above.
