Description: The Complete Poetry and Prose of Walt Whitman as Prepared by Him for the Deathbed Edition, 2 Volumes Complete, Introduction by Malcolm Cowley, Pellegrini and Cudahy, 1948, Hardcovers. Volume 1 has a previous owner's bookplate affixed to the front pastedown. In Volume 2 the bookplate is no longer attached, but there is adhesive residue to the pastedown and the ffep (pictured above). Aside from that both volumes are internally clean and tight with a few dogeared corners, light wear to the page ends and boards, and light wear to the edges. Please examine all of the pictures closely as they are considered part of the description. A rare and nicely preserved set. Thanks for looking!
