Description: This vintage heavy-gauge commercial china has a unique Bamboo pattern of airbrushed bamboo canes and green leaves against a white and faintly blue-gray background. This was crafted in Syracuse China’s Morwel shape during the mid-century modern era for the US hospitality trade. The Shelledge version of this pattern was produced in light-gauge china for home use. The backstamps, along with the “Syracuse China USA” logo, have a 1-digit month and 2-letter identifier evidencing each piece was produced in 1951. Condition of all pieces is very good with no chips, cracks or crazing. There are center scuffs and utensil marks on the plates, hardly any on the bowl, and none on the cup & saucer.
