Description: Swiss made 17 jewels (Valjoux SA Reymond Freres) from 1900-1910, 16 size (or close to it…measures 51mm in diameter on the outside of the case) high quality pocket watch movement chronograph. The movement is very nice and is running strong, but losing about a minute per day and I believe it could be regulated closer if that is your aim. The movement is pendant (stem) wind and pin set…you push a small pin located near the top of the watch in with your thumb nail and change the time by turning the crown while holding the pin in. The timer function works well, you push the crown in once to start the timer - pushing the crown again stops the timer hand, and pushing the crown in a third time rests the timing hand. The case is gun metal, and the bow and brown appear to be brass or possibly gold filled. The hands are nice, and the crystal is serviceable. There is one small edge nick near the bottom of the dial. I wish I knew more about this sort of watch, but I will attempt to answer any questions you send my way. As with any older mechanical watch, I suggest that this one be inspected by a qualified watch repair person and cleaned/lubricated if needed before being put into everyday use. Please write with questions. Thanks for looking.
