Replaced Components The 1993-1996 Cadillac Eldorado is built with the following suspension components: 1993-1996 Cadillac Eldorado Shock Absorbers (x2)- a metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid that is connected to the wheel of a vehicle in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle. 1993-1996 Cadillac Eldorado Coil Springs (x2)- Coil springs hold the vehicle up but be careful, they are rated for and designed to work with the rest of the suspension system, so when you change air shocks to passive shocks, then you will need a different rated coil spring that works well with the new type of shocks. 1993-1996 Cadillac Eldorado Height Sensors (x2)- a linkage located near each wheel of a vehicle with any electronic suspension that, either mechanically or electronically, constantly measures the height of the vehicle, and reports this information back to the control module so that the computer can identify if changes in height need to be adjusted accordingly. The coil springs are made of steel, but after years of holding up something as heavy as a Northstar engine, they can eventually lose their composure and start to become coil bound, which is when the space in between each coil begins to lessen more and more until the coils actually touch one another. When this happens, the only fix is to replace either the coil springs, which is time-consuming labor-wise, or swap out the struts for new struts. Warranty Details This warranty is non-transferable and does not cover normal wear and tear or any other loss, liability or damage resulting from improper alteration, disassembly, handling, installation, service, repair or use of this product. If for any reason you find it necessary to alter a product you must receive written consent from a Strutmasters technician. This warranty will not cover surface finish, boot or mounting hardware such as, but not limited to, rubber bushings or dust covers. If a replacement is required prior to returning the defective product, a deposit for the replacement may be required. The deposit charge will be refunded upon receipt of the warrantied item. This warranty is null and void if the installation is not performed by an ASE certified mechanic.
