On the front pastedown is an original etching bookplate by Marie Laurencin for art collector, book collector, and travel writer, Edward Wassermann. The only bookplate designed by Laurencin and depicts a young woman with a pearl necklace. Very good in a very good dust jacket with a striking portrait of Shaw on the front cover.
