Description: Seydel 1847 Classic in low E SEYDEL's Next-Generation Low-Harmonicas: The deepest blues-harmonica in the world - with a new baritone design & stainless steel reeds The 1847 CLASSIC, tuned one octave lower, is now available in a new design with a 20% thicker comb and deep-drawn sound covers. The range of keys extends from LF# (Low F#) down to LLE (double low E). With this we supplement our most popular 1847 models with stainless steel reeds right down to the extreme bass range. The double-low models (LL) are even tuned two octaves lower than normal: SEYDEL's 1847 LLE is the lowest Richter harmonica in the world. Compared to 'normally' tuned models, low-tuned harmonicas have a very sonorous, somewhat softer, unobtrusive sound and are therefore often used for accompaniment (for chords and bass lines) or as solo instruments. Their sound is reminiscent of a tenor saxophone, a trombone or even a tuba, especially when played with an amplifier. This expands the field of application of the harmonica enormously and opens up many new possibilities for the player. In order to elicit the desired sound from the low-pitched instruments, the tones need volume: the reeds must be given a sufficiently large resonance space and only then does the instrument sound fat and loud. The new, around 20% thicker comb made of sealed walnut and the higher sound cover help here. Special valves ensure very good air tightness even in the extremely low area. This design change has a positive impact on the 1847 Low's tonal richness and tone control. On the one hand, the player is encouraged to open their mouth a little wider than normal when playing, which automatically offers the sound a larger resonance volume. On the other hand, the air throughput, especially for the deep tones, is significantly improved by the larger-volume comb openings. The sound gains volume and responds much better. Thanks to the deep-drawn sound cover, annoying clicking noises are finally a thing of the past and the sound projection in the direction of the listener is greatly improved. - Full, loud sound rich in overtones with lighter and quicker tone response thanks to stainless steel reeds. - Tuning stability and lasting durability, even under extreme stress, thanks to the use of stainless steel for the reeds and rivets. - Significantly lower air consumption thanks to fine-cut reedplates, optimized flatness and minimal tolerances between the reeds and reedplate. - Undamped sound radiated by the sound cover, which is wide open on the back and has no bridges. The sound covers are made of extra thick, - Stainless steel sheet (0.4mm) and completely crimped and thus receive the necessary stability. - Lip and beard-friendly design thanks to the sound cover with corners without incisions on the mouth side and ergonomically shaped, slightly pre-curved, rounded comb openings. - Insensitive to moisture thanks to swelling-free maple comb, sealed several times with food-safe varnish. The 1847, a harmonica that impresses with innovation and still meets Allen traditional requirements - a master instrument that combines successful design with excellent playing characteristics, voluminous sonority and hitherto unknown longevity and in this combination new standards occupied. The 1847 is the result of Seydel's 160 years of experience in building high quality harmonicas. Seen cheaper elsewhere?
