This Omega De Ville Wristwatch beauty was so popular during the 70s period, it comes in Yellow Gold Plated Case and Stainless Steel Case back with a charming Original Emerald Cut Mineral Crystal and Gorgeous Omega mirrored brown dial. This Masterpiece was inspired by the designs that Andrew Grima created for Omega and introduced in 1971. "Grima, who was arguably his generation’s foremost jeweler, counted Queen Elisabeth II among his clients. The Emerald line is distinguished by the generous proportions of its emerald-cut crystals of precious stone, quartz or mineral glass. The Emerald line was only produced at OMEGA until 1973 but it left a lasting impression. Grima was the first jeweller to win the Queen's Award for Export in 1966 and the only jeweller to have won the Duke of Edinburgh Prize for Elegant Design. In 1970, at about the same time, he was designing for Omega and was appointed jeweller to Her Majesty the Queen. He won the De Beers Diamonds International Award (the Oscars of jewellery design) a record 11 times and, in 1969, was commissioned by Omega to create one of the most outrageous and daring watch collections ever made (About Time Collection). Besides the British Royal family, his clients included Jacqueline Onassis and Barbara Hepworth.
