The S80 is widely regarded as one of the best all-around mouthpieces for intermediate to advanced level players. This piece is ideally suited for all varieties of 'legit' music, such as concert/symphonic band, orchestra, sax quartet/chamber ensemble, and solo classical performance. It will also work for jazz and contemporary styles in a pinch. The C** facing is more open at the tip than a typical 'stock' or student level mouthpiece, but not so much as to be difficult to control. This mouthpiece is in excellent, lightly used condition. The facing is perfectly smooth, and original. There is no tooth wear on the beak. There are a few very light scratches on the exterior. The rubber is still black and shiny, and the logo is nice and clear. You couldn't ask for a nicer example! This mouthpiece has been cleaned/sanitized. These sell for around $200 for a brand new one on ebay, and the cost at a brick and mortar music store is much higher.
