Description: The Sega Genesis model 3 is a wonderful and smallest version of the console. It has the best video output. However, Sega hooked up the audio as mono. The board will restore stereo audio with just three wires. The audio circuit is based on the famous open source Sega Triple Bypass. This board leaves off the video circuit and is a special shape for easy installation. Video is untouched, so composite and RGB both work. This is compatible with both regular red, white, yellow RCA cables, and HD Retrovision cables. Installation requires a soldering iron, wire, and razor blade. One trace needs to be cut. It connects left and right channels together, so they need to separate. Consolemods dot org has guides with pictures. Only do steps for the audio. Skip video circuit steps, or you will disable your picture output. Steps to follow: VA1 steps 1, 2, 7, 8. VA2 steps 1, 2, 6, 7. No plastic needs to be cut. Metal RF shield will still fit and does not need cutting. Solder this board to the miniDIN legs and game cart legs. Please read the guide and look at pictures to get an idea of installation difficulty. This is intermediate to advanced skill level. Surface mount components need to be removed and wires attached to small pads. I cannot be responsible for botched installation. Proceed at your own risk.
