The language of the 1928 Book of Common Prayer truly is remarkable and worthy of at least investigation for those desiring to enrich their life in prayer and worship. The typeface is highly readable, especially considering its size. This is aided by superior paper quality that what you will find in modern editions. The pictures should make this clear. I was struck by how white the paper was. It has beautiful art-gilt page edges are in great condition. No real scratches, but some marks from the ribbon being used. I found an inscription on a blank intro page and penciled instructions for lay liturgical movements in the Holy Communion section. It’s a beautiful edition with flexible, genuine leather.
