Description: Hello, We are selling a Schott NYC size 46 men's U.S. 740N Navy Blue Pea Jacket. The pea coat is in good condition overall with all of the original buttons and no loose threads. The only visible flaw is on the left sleeve as pictured, presumably due to ordinary wear. There are no tears, holes, stains, or other obvious flaws besides the slight discoloration. There is no writing on the original nametag. While I am not a professional historian or clothing retailer, the tags and styling of the pea coat based on my research appear to indicate that this pea coat was produced between 1980 and 1993. I cannot guarantee the accuracy of this but the coat does not appear to be of World War II or Korean War era issue or made within the last few years. The coat was likely produced for civilian use given there is no name on the tag and how good the condition is overall. This coat is of exceptional quality. The boxed weight of the coat, the majority of which weight is the coat itself, is almost 6 pounds. The coat is very thick 32 ounce Melton wool and lined throughout the interior as pictured. The current vesion of this coat, which is still produced, is $390 on Schott's website. According to their site, Schott produced jackets for the U.S. military for over 60 years.
