Scarce WW2 British Sten Mk. I Bayonet with Scabbard, Frog & Securing Leather Tab

Description: Very rare WW2 STEN Mk. I bayonet for WW2 British 9mm STEN Mk. II Between 100.000 and 150.000 STEN bayonets were manufactured 1943-1944 by at least 3 manufacturers. Some manufacturers were making only springs, others spikes, some were just roughly putting them together out of parts. Most bayonets were scrapped and surviving ones are extremely hard to find. The bayonet comes with the original scabbard, frog and a rare leather securing tab that is not encountered often. The mounting is also interesting, usually this would be upside down but it is the right use with this type of frog and I have seen and have had similar before. The frog has been pulled through the loops and field painted long time ago. I have never tried to unhook the frog and the tab so I don’t break anything or disturb the authenticity. This bayonet comes from my personal collection and nothing other than bayonet, scabbard and frog w/tab is included nor offered for sale. The book "The British Spike Bayonet" by Skennerton is shown just as a reference. My items are not new (unless noted) and usually are very old.
