Designed and produced by the sculptor Desire-Albert Barre considered the first French “commemorative medal” for veterans of the First Empire. Over 400,000 soldiers of Napoleon’s Grande Armee (French, Belgians, Irish, Polish, German, etc. ) benefited from it. The medals made as a upgraded in solid sliver by a jeweler for the veteran.
