Description: You will receive one RED barrel cactus, aka Ferocactus pringlei/stainseii/pilosus. These plants are approximately 3"-4" wide, counting spines. These are gorgeous plants, but the botanical names are a MESS. I won't bore you with the details, but there is no "accepted" name for this species, and is routinely sold under the three names listed above. I prefer "Ferocactus pringlei" myself, as that is what I knew it by first. Either way, these are fantastic plants with great red spines, and red flowers as well (when mature!) They are in a 3.25" pots, as shown in the picture, but will be sent bare root. You will receive THREE plants very similar to the plants in the pictures, except the last picture. These are grown from seed in Tucson! Very limited quantities on these! Snooze and you lose! The last picture shows a mature plant with blooms. This are GREENHOUSE GROWN plants, of course!
