Description: REALISTIC DX-150A Radio Shack AC/DC Communications SHORTWAVE Receiver, SW Radio Fun classic shortwave receiver that was used by many listeners & DXers in the 1970s before the Yaesu FRG-7. Nice physical condition, silkscreened labels look good. I turned it on and connected it to my inverted V antenna. After playing around with the switches (contacts are dirty), I could hear 20-30 stations across the AM band, but nothing on shortwave (I did this last night & tonight with the same results). Some hum. Given its age, it should have its electrolytic capacitors replaced. I have no idea if just recapping it would get it working on shortwave. Regardless, the fact that its performing on the AM (medium-wave) band is a good sign. And its physical condition should make it a good candidate for restoration. Please look carefully at the photos
