IT LACKS PROPELLANT, GUIDANCE SYSTEM, ETC. **** You are looking at full size, 9 foot, 2 inch long Raytheon AIM-9 Sidewinder Missile static display, a museum piece, man cave decoration, movie prop, or TV prop (One is being filmed right now for the CBS TV show NCIS. Measurements 9’2” long, 25” wide across the rear fins, and weighs 70 pounds Missile Cart is not included, but for sale separately. All 8 fins are REAL Raytheon Missile fins. The tube is 1/8” thick aircraft aluminum and 5” in outter diameter. Front fins are real as well as the rear fins. The rear Rollerons spin freely and are very fun to play with, especially if you have an air compressor, you can get them going REALLY fast. Whoever makes the bearings that handle the 340,000 RPM's it turns at 3,000 MPH crusing speed is a genius! There are eight 1” holes in the bare aluminum section with circuit boards and sensors behind the windows, as in the real Missiles. There are three 3D printed gold colored clamps with Allen head bolts, 3D printed ARM/SAFE switch that can be moved from the ARM to SAFE position with Allen head mounting bolts. Stickers are reproductions, proper color live / insert identification yellow and brown color stripes painted on Upgrades on this Generation 3 include three 3D printed hanger mounts with stainless steel hardware as well as a removable D access hatch and pressure gauge. Domino Vent Holes also drilled out. Seeker head is 3D printed carbon fiber with machines aluminum forward section. A 3” diameter glass dome is installed and a real camera lens, aluminum gimbal assembly. Availability: I typically build 2 to 3 at a time, and sometimes they are in stock, ready to ship, but if I am not in stock, it can be upwards of a month wait to build. I can also build these in light ghost gray color for a more modern or Air Force version. Typically the white ones were on NAVY and MARINE CORPS aircraft.
